Personalized Medicine: transforming real-world data into actionable insights
SCRI’s Personalized Medicine program aims to democratize access to novel clinical trial therapies in local communities using advanced technology and dedicated scientific and operational teams. Personalizing medicine begins with getting the world’s most innovative cancer medicines into the SCRI clinical trial portfolio. Next, these clinical trials need to be placed at the right sites within our extensive clinical trial site network. Once opened within one of SCRI’s partnered clinical trial sites, sophisticated patient matching algorithms are deployed to identify the right patient for the right clinical trial at the right time in a patient’s cancer journey.
The SCRI Personalized Medicine program is comprised of four teams: Lead Management, Therapeutic Development, Patient Matching and Population Sciences. These teams work hand-in-hand with Genospace to leverage data at every step of the clinical development lifecycle – ranging from preclinical trial design to strategic trial placement and data-driven feasibility to patient matching to real-world outcomes analysis – to advise biopharma partners and bring the next generation of cancer therapeutics to patients with cancer.
Personalized Medicine and SCRI’s SMO
Partners with the site management organization (SMO) to aid the SCRI site network in enrolling patients to clinical trials.
Personalized Medicine and SCRI’s CRO
Partners with SCRI’s contract research organization (CRO), Development Innovations, to enhance clinical development strategies and streamline processes to accelerate drug development.
Lead Management shepherds SMO clinical trial leads from lead receipt to transition with SMO Study Activation team. This team of expert tacticians ensures that all necessary documents are collected to enable a smooth study start-up process.
Patient Matching is comprised of PhD-level scientists and clinical research professionals who are focused on making it easier for our sites to identify patients for clinical trials. From education seminars, to on-call molecular support, automated clinical trial algorithm builds, and clinical trial curation, Patient Matching is dedicated to finding the right study for patients facing cancer.
Therapeutic Development is SCRI’s disease-specific program support team. Made up of clinical scientists and clinical research experts, this team is responsible for the overall health and well-being of our clinical trial portfolio across SCRI’s clinical trial site network. From protocol review to site selection, Therapeutic Development ensures that the right clinical trials get activated at the right SCRI network sites.
Population Sciences leverages SCRI clinical trial site network data to gain valuable insights for clinical development and network intelligence. Population Sciences is comprised of PhD-level scientists dedicated to making use of complex data sources to enhance SCRI’s clinical trial development and execution.
How we support our sites
Patient Lists
“Can you provide a list of patients for my clinical trial?”
Trial Lists
“Can you provide a list of studies for my patient?”
Central Screening
“Dedicated resources to screen patients at select sites for select studies"
