Chyron Downward Trend Continues

Chyron reported declining revenues and increased losses in 2012 Q4 & full year results for the period ended December 31, This continues the downward trend reported in Q3 – Chyron 2012 Q3 & Year to Date Revenue Down on 2011. The negative results follow the company’s close call with being delisted from NASDAQ in November - Chyron Gets NASDAQ Delisting Notice.  In September of 2008 the company was delisted from AMEX to NASDAQ.

On November 7, 2012, the Nasdaq Stock Market (“NASDAQ”) notified Chyron Corporation that it no longer complies with NASDAQ Listing Rule 5450(a)(1) (the “Minimum Bid Price Rule”), as the bid price of the Company’s common stock closed below the minimum $1.00 per share for the 30 consecutive business days prior to the date of the letter.

Chyron Q3 Revenue Up but Net Loss Reported

For the third quarter of 2011, total revenues were $7.47 million, an increase of $0.59 million or 9%, from revenues of $6.88 million for the third quarter of 2010.

Service revenues, which include revenues from the Company’s AXIS cloud-based graphics service, as well as systems hardware and software maintenance agreements, training and creative services, were $2.11 million for the third quarter of 2011, a 34% increase over service revenues of $1.58 million for the prior year’s third quarter. Service revenues as a percentage of total revenues for the third quarter of 2011 were 28% as compared to 23% in the prior year’s third quarter.  Product revenues were $5.36 million for the third quarter of 2011 as compared to $5.31 million for the prior year’s third quarter.
